Guarantee

Guarantee as an assurance beforehand was not a factor in medical science. The surgeon just did their utmost. The inflamed appendix was removed as soon as possible, but occasionally the results were disappointing and there would be complications. The patient would not blame the surgeon, because they had performed the surgery to the best of their ability. For most disciplines in medicine this is still the case.

In the esthetic plastic surgery the best effort of the surgeon is no longer accepted as being adequate. Because the goal of the esthetic surgery is merely to improve form and there is no emergency situation, the form improvement needs to be, at least partially, guaranteed. This is the general thought in society and this vision has recently been posited in jurisprudence.

Rest assured that my goal is to serve the best interest of the patient and that in this light I will make my decisions about surgery, which I will only perform when improvement is virtually assured. In case of discontent I will try to find a solution in mutual consultation. In case this leads to a re-do then this will be without charge.
